| Reason: Bill Laimbeer and
Rick Mahorn, the forefathers of the Bad Boys, implemented
a punishing style of basketball that focussed on team
defense. This attitude was the catalyst for the
Piston's first NBA Championship. The NBA would
later sabotage the Pistons and their dynasty with league
expansion. As a result, the Pistons lost one of the
cornerstones of the Bad Boys, Mahorn, in the expansion
draft. Later, the chicago bulls would win
championships in a watered down NBA. Most likely,
Hockey North America will have to change the 2001 spring
tournament after Chaos hits Toronto in 2000. |
