Just when you think you have seen everything, you see
something like this. It is a carpeted car. We all saw
this when we were getting ready to cross the bridge. I think
it appropriate to note that the guy has a handicapped license plate - I
don't know when we decided to start giving out handicapped plates due to
mental illness, but obviously that is what happened here. I
wish I could report that the guy was from Canada (Alberta), but sadly it
is obvious that he is from Michigan. When we passed this
guy we were all in a panic. Sandstrom practically locked up the
brakes to slow down so we could take some pictures. The guys was
just as proud as a peacock when we pulled up along side of him.
We were all laughing so hard that we could hardly take a picture.
I can personally say that I had tears running down my face and I was in
hysterics. I could only wonder what this guy must have been
thinking one morning. "Hmmm, what am I going to do
today? I think I'll go down to the carpet store and browse around.
Hey look at that piece of purple carpet. It sure is nice.
I'll bet it would look great on my car." Well, as you can
see in the pictures, and as Sandstrom pointed out - "At least he did a
good job". I would guess that the carpet adds several hundred
pounds to the weight of the car and I have to wonder what happens in the
rain. It must add another couple of hundred pounds and then he
probably has to drive with the wipers on for at least an hour after the
rain stops. I wonder if he will have any trouble
selling the car when he decides to buy a new one. |
