| A Chaos player must plan ahead. This is
critical if we expect to win another championship. There are two ways
to plan ahead. Method 1
- Recognize that you have no control over the events unfolding. Think
about what is likely to happen and then plan accordingly. For example.
If you are skating in on a 2 on 1 with Captain Chaos, don't bother getting
in position for a pass. It will not happen. By now you should
know that your job is to drive to the net and knock in the rebound if the
goalie happens to make the save. In this case, plan to try to get him
a patented "Benninger Assist".
Method 2 - Recognize that you
have complete control over the events unfolding. You and you alone are
the one everyone is watching. You have the puck. Take a look
around the ice and make the right move. For example, if you see
Kappler, don't pass it to him. He will just skate the other way.
In this case you should carry the puck yourself or pass it to someone else.
Do you see that prisoner to in the picture on the right?
Clearly his planning ahead falls under Method 2. He has control and he
has planned ahead. Unfortunately, his plan has a flaw and he is going
to die by drowning in a big pile of crap. When you plan ahead, make
sure you do not do anything that will result in a crappy outcome.
Here is one more example of not planning ahead with a very
crappy result. Click one of these links or one of the pictures on the
right.

planning ahead
